St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School Hope in God

What do they do?

What do the Governors do?

The Governing Body of St. Wilfrid's is devoted to assisting the school to improve in all areas in order to allow each child to flourish and learn to the maximum of their ability.

Governors work closely with the School Leadership Team and Staff and are involved in:

  • Strategic planning for the school

  • Supporting and defining the school vision

  • Monitoring and evaluating the work of the school by reviewing the performance of the head; the effectiveness of the policy framework; progress towards targets and the effectiveness of the School Improvement Plan.

They also ensure that the school meets its statutory obligations and is financially secure.

In addition to this, the Governing Body holds the Head Teacher to account for the performance of the school and ensures that parents are involved.

If you would like to contact the Governors with a particular topic you would like them to discuss at a future meeting please go to the Contact the Governors page here.

We would like to remind you also that there is a separate complaints procedure which should be followed, therefore the messaging system here is for general topics only.

Our open days for children starting in reception 2018 are on Tuesday 3rd October at 9:30am and Monday 9th October at 1:30pm. Presentation by the Headteacher, followed by tours of the school. All very welcome to see our new classes and learning in action.
