Attendance
Holidays and other appointments (dentists/ doctors etc.) can have a significant impact on your child’s attendance figures. The government expects children to have an attendance of above 95%. The guidance for Headteachers is very clear; family holidays should not be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances for us to do so.
If you wish to apply for leave of absence for your child, please complete the absence request form below and return it to the school office. If you do not have a printer, please ask the office to provide you with a copy. Once considered by the Headteacher, it will be returned to you with an authorised / unauthorised response recorded on it.
If your child is too unwell to come to school, please telephone the office, 01903 782188, before 9.30am to explain the reason for their absence.

Do I need to keep my child off school?
According to the Public Health Agency (HSC) the sections offer clear guidance to help parents and carers decide when a child should stay off school or nursery due to illness. It aims to support informed decision-making, reduce the spread of infection, and provide reassurance about when it is safe for children to attend.
